About Christine

The beauty of my art lies in its being more than decoration; it becomes a living presence within your space.

I create by listening closely and responding to what each piece wants to become. My work is abstract, sensory, and layered with feeling. Each piece begins in sensation, shaped by the energy of the moment. I move to what calls me, letting each piece unfold in its own time, trusting the intelligence of colour, texture, and space.

This is a physical and emotional practice. I work when the field opens and rest when it closes. There is no forcing, only presence with creation, energy, and emergence.

These paintings are living fields, holding memory, motion, and transmission. They are constellations of my inner landscape, recorded in real time.

My hope is that they meet you where you are, inviting reflection, sensation, and resonance. They aren’t just images, they are portals, designed to be lived with.

Christine McArdle is a painter based in Melbourne, Australia. Her work captures the dynamics of colour, texture, and form through layered, abstract compositions, creating a visual language that communicates beyond words. Each piece is carefully developed, honouring its natural unfoldment.

Behind the scenes

A glimpse into the spaces and moments where my work comes to life, quiet studio corners, the unfolding of ideas, and the subtle ways the paintings find their place.
