A Note from the Studio
The power of art takes many shapes and forms. It can hold testimony to a collective moment. It can give life to self and soul expression. It can bring elements together to curate a space. All of these are rich and wonderful in their own right.
It is those things and more. The way I create feels like a flow. I receive it. It arrives already formed, already complete. The act of expressing it is what gives it its final shape.
The journey doesn’t stop there. Once expressed, the work enters a space where others can receive it. It interacts with their internal systems, sparking reflection, awareness, and sometimes momentum. Though it may appear idle, it is in fact breathing life into a space. It is not static, not fixed.
This is why artwork often sets the tone of a room, why ambience matters, why the intangible impact of a piece can be felt without explanation. It carries energy, intention, and presence, quietly influencing the environment and those within it.
Perhaps that is what I am really doing in the studio, not simply making something to be seen, but allowing something to move through me so it can continue its journey beyond me.
